After looking for a job for one year, I ended up in the place I started: Antarctica.
This time, a new adventure is unfolding which will bring me through a winter season:
no flights, no fresh food, no mail, no sunlight.
Travel, friends, and family await.

night shot

My photography is coming along. After two frustrating excursions yielding no photos because I had my camera on an incorrect setting for darkness, I finally went out and took a shot that actually brings out the stars (you will likely have to open the image at right to see them).

This afternoon, during working hours (of course), we experienced quite the display of auroras. Those were memories for the mind, though since I did not have my camera. I will take auroras over fireworks anytime for the Fourth of July!

Sure enough, I can see the cross and the millions of stars above it. Good Job!
