There are a lot of things about this place that are flat and white; most of the Continent, in particular. However, in New Zealand, they make a coffee called a Flat White which consists of espresso and milk; similar to, or the same as the latte.
The other day, Chris, the Scott Base mechanic was over here and I mentioned how nice it would be to have one of these beverages from the espresso machine over there. Wouldn't you know, this afternoon, one such coffee showed up in my window sill at work. It made my day. It's the little things that count. Thanks, Chris!
