champagne cookout

After our work week, our department had a celebratory cookout. So, myself and the 15 mechanic-types who work up there, as well as, the three folks from Supply and a number of "guests" got together for some pork and potatoes. The comical part of organizing the event was when the food order was picked up with an entire 8 potatoes for the whole gang.

And, the highlight of the evening for me was this photo. Hally, the other woman in my building said she has never felt more 'white trash' than when she was sipping champagne out of a can with a straw in her carhartts. Hally works in the Supply side of things at the VMF. Shane, Neil, Charlie, and Lance (little fingers poised to drink the delicate bubbly drink) are four of the mechanics I work with who are also in the photo.
